Music Monday: Del Water Gap & Maggie Rogers

Hi, y'all! Not too long ago, I took a quick trip to Houston with my boyfriend to see Del Water Gap and Maggie Rogers in concert. The two put on a great show, with Del Water Gap opening for Maggie.

This was my third time seeing Del Water Gap live, and Holden (DWG himself) never disappoints. If you've never heard of him, this indie singer has great songs like "Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat" which he coins as "a song about monogamy" and "High Tops."

This was my first time seeing Maggie Rogers in concert and I was able to hear all of my favorites, plus some songs I had never heard before. (If I'm being honest, I was already a fan of Maggie but we went to Houston for Holden!) Her music is more folksy, but still with an indie flair. "Love You For a Long Time" is a song that I listened to as I fell in love with my boyfriend and "Dog Years" is just amazing.

If you have a few minutes, scan the Spotify code or click the link here to hear a 30-minute playlist I created with my favorite songs of theirs...

Here's a little preview of the playlist:

Enjoy this new music on your Monday!

Looking for something fun to do in the Rio Grande Valley? Look no further! Alpaquita Ranch is the perfect spot for a unique date, family outing, or to take pictures with friends. Located in Raymondville, Alpaquita Ranch provides each visiting group with an alpaca to walk around the ranch with. There are tons of cute photo spots and the alpacas even wear seasonal accessories ! The entire experience lasts an hour and a half , with the first 40 minutes after the introduction being dedicated to spending time with your alpaca. They're super friendly, fluffy, and a little bit stubborn- which makes for some funny memories. After walking your alpaca, you'll get the chance to feed any alpaca(s) of your choice across the property. I've visited twice now with my boyfriend around Valentine's Day, and I'm sure we'll be back next year! The current cost is $50 total for two visitors. All in all, we feel like it's easy to get your money's worth here making fun, specia...
